Key priorities for the school
I have been working with the Governors to determine the priorities for the school for the coming year and am pleased to be able to confirm to you that in 2018-2019 we will be looking in particular at:

  1. Continuing to improve the quality of reading throughout the school
  2. Continuing to focus on the Early Years Classes to ensure that the outcomes for children in those year groups are even better
  3. Continue to focus on and support those children who have English as an additional language to enable them to keep striving and reach their full potential
  4. Keep challenging the most-able pupils to reach their full potential
  5. Improve attendance and punctuality to be above national averages. Our target is 96%
  6. Further develop the school behaviour policy and procedures
  7. Further develop the curriculum that the school offers, including the creative curriculum
  8. Work more effectively with you, our parents and carers and the wider community
  9. Further develop the inclusive practice we operate throughout school and work with our on-site specialist provision

I look forward to being able report back to you on our progress and successes against these priorities in the coming year.
