Tiny Gems have continued their autumn topic of ‘Why are leaves crispy?’ The children enjoyed making leaf wreaths and counting leaves in our counting game. We have introduced the Nativity this week and the children have been learning about baby Jesus. Little Jewels have also been busy doing autumn inspired craft activities, making teeny-tiny bird cakes, inventing their own soups, creating animal habitats and studying the habits of our class worms and snails. They have also created their own stick-men and thought about what adventures they might have next. This week, we are learning the story of the Nativity in RE and will be working on the Jolly Postman in preparation for our trip to the Postal Museum next Monday. We are really enjoying learning more about Letters and Sounds – so far we have learnt s and a and this week we are focusing on the letter t.
