Teacher for PE and Sports Champion

Post title: PE teacher and Sports Champion
Salary range: Negotiable – depending on experience and qualifications
Responsible to: Headteacher

St Mary’s CE Primary School, N8 is seeking to appoint an Outstanding person to lead our PE, Sports and Wellbeing team in our diverse and vibrant school.

We are looking for an inspirational, competitive and passionate practitioner with the wow factor who will put children at the heart of everything they do.

We have a fantastic reputation in the sporting field and are looking to build on that foundation.

Do you have the skills, qualifications, experience and drive to :

  • Teach inspirational PE lessons from Reception to Y6
  • Raise standards in sport and pupil involvement in a wide range of sports in the school
  • Champion, lead and support sports, PE and the dance curriculum across the school
  • Work with targeted children needing additional support
  • Organise activities, tutor and mentor pupils to enable them to be engaged in school life
  • Get parents and carers involved with Sports and PE

You will be required to have:

  • Qualified Teacher Status
  • Experience of working with children in sporting contexts
  • Have a passion for sport and raising its profile in our school and community
  • Excellent organisation and communication skills
  • Be able to work as part of a diverse team
  • Have a commitment to safeguarding children

Nursery Nurse

You will work with our experienced Nursery Team to support learning, development and social interaction.

Do you have:

  • Qualifications at level NVQ3
  • Good Literacy and Numeracy skills.
  • Experience of working with children from age 2.
  • Good organisation and communication skills.
  • The ability to work as part of a school team.
  • The capability to work with pupils with a range of abilities, challenges and learning needs.
  • An understanding of working in partnership with parents.
  • A commitment to helping pupils succeed.

After School Club worker

Salary Scale 3

Monday to Friday 3.30pm to 6.00pm

We have a vacancy at the School for a Club Worker at our busy After School Club within our KS2 phase.

You will assist in the operation and running of the club to ensure its continued smooth and effective running.

Successful applicants will:  

  • Supervise children both inside and in the playground
  • Be able to work as part of a team as well as use their own initiative
  • Have excellent communication skills

Monday to Friday 11.30am to 1.30pm

We are looking for a School Meals Supervisory Assistant to join our lunchtime staff at our Church Lane site.
Successful applicants will:

  • Supervise children during lunch break in the dining hall, classroom and playground
  • Be able to work as part of a team as well as use their own initiative
  • Be able to positively relate to children and organise playground games
  • Promote a healthy and active lunchtime for our children
