Year 6 News – 23rd November 2018

In Maths we have been working on fractions. We use a range of challenging and exciting activities including making ‘tarsia puzzles’ to help develop fractions skills. In English, we have been thoroughly enjoying the book ‘Goodnight Mr Tom’ about a child evacuated to the countryside in WWII. We have written some wonderfully detailed and descriptive pieces and are also developing our inference skills. In RE, we have been learning about Christianity and are looking forward to visiting our church to find out more about these important Christian ceremonies. In science we have continued learning about classification. This week we are creating our own classification keys for our favourite sweets and chocolate!
